Taking your first breaths underwater and moving weightlessly through an underwater paradise is something you have to try at least once in your life. The Red Sea in Aqaba couldn’t be a more perfect place to learn to dive with its crystal clear, warm waters packed with corals and tropical fish. Our Discover the Red Sea Program is the perfect way for beginners to try diving with Aqaba International Dive Center. Time Commitment: It takes only half a day. Minimum Age: 10 years old. Your Half-Day Aqaba Adventure: Safety First: We start with a comprehensive safety briefing which includes a full equipment review. Shallow Water Introduction: Next, we get you kitted up and head to our shallow, sheltered training area (pool or calm sea entry) to get comfortable breathing and learn some basic scuba skills under close supervision. Explore the South Beach Corals: Once your instructor is happy that you are comfortable and confident, it is time for your adventure! We will transport you to the beautiful coral reefs of the Aqaba South Beach. Guided Dive: Once in the sea, you will take time to acclimatize before heading off on a guided tour of the vibrant coral gardens under the direct, professional supervision of your scuba diving instructor.

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is performance-based. This means you move on when you are ready, not when the schedule says so. Knowledge Development (eLearning Option): Learn the essential scuba theory, physics, and safety principles at your own pace online. (Time commitment: Approx. 5-10 hours, completed before you arrive). Confined Water Training (Pool or Shallow Sea): Your first look at the gear! In a controlled environment, you'll master all the core scuba skills with your instructor right beside you until you feel completely comfortable. Open Water Dives: The moment you've waited for! You will complete four open water dives in the beautiful Red Sea, applying your skills and exploring the coral gardens under direct guidance.
